Hello!


Hey guys~ ^^ I know this may seem a little soon for me to post a new entry (after all, you guys usually don't get a new journal entry from me for weeks on end XD)

But I felt like posting this for the sake of getting stuff off my chest, you know? Hence the title of this little piece.

First off, I did recently buy myself a new phone. I recently discovered about unlockable phones and what they were capable of doing. So I bought a unlocked smartphone (a Motorola Milestone to be exact) and had a pre-paid account set up with AT&T for $25 a month. That gives me 250 minutes and unlimited texting.

I forgone the Data plan simply because, well I have a laptop for all that. My laptop can do things that a smartphone simply cannot to =, such as allow me to do my posting for my groups, watch movies and videos, play games and such.

But if you're wondering why I still got one when I have a laptop for all that. I got it mostly in case should anything happen to my laptop, I can a least use my smartphone to stay in contact with everyone and log online when needed.

I honestly enjoy being online less these days. Which is why I've been busier these days than online with my forums and such. I won't be using my smartphone for anything internet related, after all my laptop works best for all that. ^^

At the same time, since I got the phone today. I'm getting mixed feelings about it. It's been wonderful so far, but I feel real sentimental value to my old purple phone. It's been such a good little phone to me, had it for nearly two years and never once had any problems. So as much as I do like my smartphone, I'm not gonna part with my old phone. Instead, I plan on keeping it in case I either am unhappy with my new phone and decide to return it, or something happens to it wen I have another phone to fall back on.

But it's not just my phones I've been having mixed feelings about. I kinda feel both grateful and happy for the things I have and the people in my life. At the same time, I'm starting to see I may have one to many electronic devices that have the ability to keep me connected online.

Will I get rid of them? Some maybe, but not everything. I can't go completely without getting online at some point. I might consider getting rid of my PSP since I don't play it so much these days. Maybe...

I do still need to get my PS3 fixed, that's something I'm not getting rid of easily. Still I feel I need to back off from any big spending for a while. I've splurged and spoiled myself with my new phone so for a while, I need to focus on other things.

Is it weird of me to feel like this about things? I kinda think so but then again what do I know huh?
